Erika García-Silva holds a PhD from the University of Salamanca, awarded with Cum Laude distinction and International Doctorate mention, within the Doctoral Programme Education in the Knowledge Society. Her research focuses on the inclusion of Indigenous women in STEM, with a particular emphasis on intersectional mentoring.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico) and obtained Master’s degrees in Economics, Finance, and Computing (Universidad Internacional de Andalucía), Business Management (Universidad de La Rioja), and Digital Information Systems (University of Salamanca).
She has participated in several international and European research projects. Completed projects include Retos Indigenius: Inspiring Future STEM Pathways; ORIGEN: Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Rural and Indigenous Communities; and HerStory – Combating Gender Stereotypes by Highlighting Women’s Contributions to the History of Societies.
She is currently participating in the projects Migrants in STEM: Voices and Experiences (MSTEM) and Empowering Women in Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship by Developing a Supportive Ecosystem in Higher Education Institutions (HerTechVenture).
