Natércia Lima was born in Porto, Portugal, on December 11, 1965. She received the Bachelor Degree in Physics/Applied Mathematics and the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal in 1989 and 1998, respectively. She is (since November 2015) a student of the Doctoral Program in Education at the Society of Knowledge of the University of Salamanca, in the area Engineering Education.
She is a professor at the Polytechnic of Porto - School of Engineering (ISEP) since 1993 and currently holds a position as Adjunct Professor and a full member of the Research Group in Systems Testing, part of the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Industrial Technology, since 2014. She has published more than 30 papers in journals and national and international conferences with peer review. Her research interests include engineering education, students learning with remote experimentation, and professional development.
She has also been a member of the ISEP’s Scientific Technical Council for 4 years and Director of the ISEP´s Physics Department for several years.
