Resumen

The incorporation of women in senior management positions is an issue of great relevance at a global level. The presence of women is essential for increasing innovation and business success, including in STEM areas. It is necessary to carry out concrete actions from public-private organizations to increase the entry of women into this type of career since there is still a significant gender gap in this area. The above results in a loss of talent and opportunities for companies, public institutions, and society in general. Gender equality in senior management is a critical element in achieving a more just and inclusive society, as it is proven that women bring unique perspectives and skills to leadership teams. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to eliminate the obstacles women face on their path to the top. This article aims to list specific actions in Chile associated with public policies of government, education, and business to advance the reduction of the gender gap in STEM areas.
