Invitation to Submit

Researchers, educators, policymakers, and professionals are invited to submit original research articles, systematic literature reviews, and case studies that explore how education, innovation, design, and emerging technologies can contribute to sustainable development. This special collection encourages interdisciplinary work examining how open knowledge, digital transformation, and innovative educational practices can help address sustainability challenges and support the development of more resilient and equitable societies.

Suggested Themes (topics include, but are not limited to)

• Regenerative design for complex environments (designing sustainable systems and solutions)
• Innovation as a cross-cutting approach to sustainability (developing systemic responses to global challenges)
• Digital transformation and emerging technologies for sustainability (AI, robotics, interactive and immersive technologies)
• Educational innovation and openness (Open Education, Open Science, and collaborative knowledge creation)

This collection particularly supports research aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4, SDG 9, and SDG 17).

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted in English. All submissions must adhere to the journal’s official formatting and editorial guidelines and be uploaded through the journal’s online submission system (Snapp).
